Real Pilates® Staff and Trainer Resources

Hi Team,

Welcome to your one-stop resource hub for all things Real Pilates®. This page is designed to make your day-to-day easier, with quick answers to common questions like time off requests, dress code, and more.

All details found here are expanded upon in the Employee Handbook (linked here). Please refer to the handbook for any questions. If you don’t find what you need there, reach out to a manager.

This page is a living resource and is continuously being updated. Please note that policies may change before they are reflected here. Updates are made every Friday, and the latest update date can be found at the bottom of the page.

Thank you all for everything you do to make Real Pilates such a special place.

The I.C.& E Values
➔ Integrity, do the right thing even when no one is watching.
➔ Care, show up with empathy for clients, colleagues, and yourself.
➔ Expertise, commit to excellence in your craft and service.

    • Submit Time Off Request Form. This is the only way to ensure you receive the time off you need.

    • We ask that you are mindful of the amount of time you take away from the studio. On average trainers and staff can take 10% of their total working days off per year without questions by management. Management may reach out about time off that exceeds 10% of your total working days per year.

    • Please allow 2 weeks’ notice when taking time off so the team can notify and reassign your clients to another trainer. For leave of absence longer than 2 weeks, please give 3 weeks’ notice.

  • If you are sick follow these steps in this order:

    • Text or call Bridgid (201) 281-8651. To receive sick pay, this step must be completed.

    • Contact your studios general manager on Prospr. (Siobhan for Tribeca, Moira for the UES)

    • Email the front desk

    • Same-day call-outs are not permitted except in the case of a true emergency. If you are unwell, please notify the General Manager as soon as possible. Please note that messages sent to management or the front desk between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM will not be received until after 7:00 AM.

    • Sick Leave (NYS), employees earn 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to the annual maximum set by law. Sick days may be used for personal illness, medical appointments, or caring for a family member.

    • When requesting a change to your schedule, we ask that you commit to your current schedule for a minimum of 6 months. Any approved changes will also remain in effect for at least 6 months. After that time, you are welcome to submit a new request if adjustments are needed. This consistency helps us provide a reliable experience for our clients and maintain stability across the team.

We want all our equipment to look "in alignment." Reformers must be in a neat row. The chairs, barrels, and Cadillacs should all be spaced well. The Equipment Cubbies must be orderly and the carts neat, tidy, and well stocked. The Magic Circles should be stacked neatly. Basically, any messy corner you see passing through the studio floors- should be tidied!

When not in use, we want all equipment to be put back to "neutral." This means that the equipment is left in the ready-to-use position with all its necessary accessories. (sticky pad, weighted pole, springs attached, etc..)

  • TRIBECA EQUIPMENT FORM

    UES EQUIPMENT FORM

    How this works:

    • If you notice an issue → submit the form immediately

    • Be specific about the equipment and its location in the room

    • If something is unsafe → remove it from use and mark it URGENT

    Important:

    • Verbal reports are no longer sufficient

    • If it is not submitted through the form, it cannot be tracked or resolved efficiently

This process helps us fix issues quickly, maintain a safe environment, and stay ahead of equipment wear and tear. Thank you for your attention to this and for helping uphold our studio standards.

  • Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

NYS/NYC requires all employees to c
omplete this annually. The training takes approximately 45 minutes and provides a certificate upon completion. Please email a copy of your certificate to Bridgid@realpilatesnyc.com. You will be paid $17 for this training. If you’ve already completed a 2026 training with another employer, simply provide your certificate as proof.

  • Three-Strike Policy

3 strikes (lateness or no-show) = suspension or termination

    What counts as a strike:

    • Late arrival (after start time, no valid exception)

    • Late causing client to leave without same-week make-up

    • No-show / no call

    No strike if:

    • You notify the studio and client stays for full session

    • Client is rescheduled within the same week (added hour)

    Earn-back:

    • 1 strike removed for every 4 months with no lateness
